Firefly: The Game - Blue Sun (Exp.)

Just as the Firefly base game is a terrific base platform to work from the expansion Blue Sun seriously give you MORE of almost everything!

You need a big table to play firefly... and now it has to use it's extra expansions as well. The Blue Sun adds in more space.. reaver space as well as border space.. Additional traders as well as additional places to trade and buy stuff. The expansion of cards is marked so if you want to separate out all expansions from the base game it's easy to do.. I simply love this game and Blue Sun does not fail in fulfilling my hopes for an expanded space!

When dealing with this as well as other space expansions remember that you will fly a lot! And I mean a lot! You can have at lot of people as well as cargo to transport long distances an then a stronger engine than the startup 5 step per burn is nice to have! You will spend a lot of time anyway in space flying. For a SOLO game I find Firefly in general and this expansion in particular a true enjoyment..

Introduced in this expansion is also the Mr Universe who gives you extra challenges on top of the missions you taken aboard.. in my test game I stayed with this as a extra burden. But you can also use the new tokens that both Reavers as well as Alliance leaves after their ships.. they automatically cause a encounter.. YUCK! In my philosophy for playing SOLO I like to let the closest RAVER always walk towards me and the same regarding the Alliance ships. They travel slowly towards me and every time any mention that player on my right should move the Reaver or Alliance ship.. I move it 1 step closer where my ship is, after some time you can feel the pinch, less and less space is easy to travel through... Remember Reaver ships do not leave the Reaver or Border space, I use the big cruiser to work only in the Alliance space.
